Introducing the
Wedding Party
We are excited to be joined on our special day by our friend and family. Without everyone, we wouldn't be who we are today.

Colleen Macke
Sister of the Bride

Ben Jessen
Brother of the Groom
Ben is my younger brother. We
Shown on the bottom left sitting on some petty human.
Colleen is my younger sister and best friend. Growing up we shared a room since it "builds character" (thanks parents), which made us very close. Colleen is currently finishing up her Master's at the University of Michigan, and will contine being an Ann Arbor townie next year as she becomes an M1 at the University of Michigan Medical School! I am very lucky that she puts up with my annoying texts and endless Linus pictures
Jessica has been one of my friends since kindergarten. She was on my elementary school softball team (coached by my Dad!). During high school we'd eat lunch and watch The Price Is Right with a group of our other friends. In October, 2013 I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in Jessie's wedding when she married Trent! Jessie and Trent are amazing people, and a great example of marriage for Erik and I.
Ryan is my youngest brother. While I have fond memories from our childhood of Saran wrapping him and putting temporary tattoos on him while he slept, he has grown up into a great person (and the fact that he is taller than me means I can't do that anymore). Ryan is a student athlete at UW Lacrosse studying computer science.
Ladies! Single, athletic, and loves cupcakes.

Brandon is one of my classmates in the Genetics program at Wisconsin. Or was--his traitorous lab has abandoned Madison for the greener pastures of Harvard, although Brandon remains a UW student. Because of his skills as a beer drinker, expert griller, and HBO account holder, Erik and I had to fight over Brandon's hand in bridal party marriage. Luckily I won.
I thought I told you, she's a star. You see that ice? You see the cars.
Flashy lights everywhere we are. Livin' like, like there's no tomorrow.
Brittney and her amazing trophy husband Jeff are two of my closest friends from undergradute. Always has a smile on her face. She helped me move to Madison when I first started graduate school, and now she will return for my wedding.

Friend of Both
(but she called dibs first)

Dr. Brittney Schultz M.D.
Friend of the Groom
Emma and I have been friends since elementary school, bonding over a love of oversized T-shirts and stretchy pants. She's been a great friend over the years and someone I always love spending time with when I'm home in Ann Arbor. She went to NYU for undergrad, and then completed a Master's in Social Work at the University of Michigan. Currently she works helping children in Detroit (a very hard job that I admire her for!). She also spends her free time performing in plays around Ann Arbor. Go see her kick ass on stage!
Michael and I joined the Landick lab during the same year. They say hardship forges the strongest friendships, and graduate school has done just that (despite the fact that he never lets me win at Mario Kart). Our friendship has evolved to the point where he understands my incoherent jibberish and I understand his rampant sarcasm. Also token ethnic friend. JK <3. Beer.

Michael Bellecourt
Friend of the Groom
Michelle and I met at Dicken Elementary School (go Dolphins!). Michelle has always been an awesome friend, even when I made her lend me her glasses to see the board in high school science class (I probably should have gotten my own). We've shared some great times together, and recently she was nice enough to host me in Boston and get drunk with me at Harpoon. She also got her first patent this year, and is an awesome lady scientist!! I'm so lucky to have her as a bridesmaid
I met Ray through his girlfriend Tricia (who is also a great friend and pictured on the left) because she worked in the same lab as me. Ray and I became quick friends due to his jovial nature, good humor, and up for anything attitude (plus he likes beer, is this a theme?). Couldn't ask for a better friend.

My parents met at orientation at the University of Michigan. After four years of college they got married, and not much later they had me! My parents are an excellent example for Erik and I when it comes to marriage. They work together very well, and are very supportive of each other. I'm very thankful for everything they do for me, and I can't wait to celebrate with them on my own wedding day.
